#ResistAV is a campaign by Backlash UK, an organisation set up to provide academic, legal, and campaigning resources to defend freedom of sexual expression. Backlash supports the rights of adults to participate in all consensual sexual activities and to watch, read and create any fictional interpretation of such in any media.
Blake is a genderqueer independent scholar, feminist pornographer, sex worker and sexual freedom campaigner. Their films have won multiple international awards, and they have prevailed in defending their work in legal battles against porn censorship in the UK.
Blake is an active campaigner for sex work decriminalisation and labour rights, obscenity law reform, civil liberties and human rights. They were awarded Publicist of the Year at the Sexual Freedom Awards 2015 for their efforts advocating for sex workers’ rights.
They are official spokesperson for Backlash.
Myles is a lawyer specialising in obscenity law. He obtained Not Guilty verdicts in two landmark obscenity trials in 2012: R v Peacock, seen as a test of the Obscene Publications Act 1959, and R v Walsh, seen as a test of Section 63 of the Criminal Justice and Immigration Act 2008.
Myles is the only lawyer in the UK who specialised in obscenity cases and sexual freedoms, and is known as the Obscenity Lawyer. In 2012, he was awarded the Junior Lawyer of the Year Excellence Award by the Law Society of England and Wales.
He volunteers as a pro bono legal advisor for Backlash.
